The Puppet Planet Project is a UN multi-agency initiative put forward by WMO and UNCTAD. It is based on the concepts of partnerships and ownership.
Financial support is being sought for covering production costs of the show and the capacity-building component of the Puppet Planet Project in developing countries.
The project was designed to involve multi-stakeholders from the public and private sectors, involving governments, educators, artists, creators, environmentalists, NGOs, foundations and sponsors from the business community.
This technical cooperation project is to be funded by extra-budgetary resources relying on funds from donors and public or private institutions committed in supporting environemntal and development causes.
The aim is also to promote North-South cooperation by attracting funds from developed countries to help implementation in the developing world. WMO and UNCTAD are engaged to contact delegations and institutions for fund-raising.
The project is open for partnerships, which will be duly acknowledged. Logos and a short description of the engagement of partners will be gradually displayed in this webpage and the promotional material of the project.
